McIntosh MC275 Tube Amp Restoration We at Audio Exchange pride ourselves in tube amp restorations such as this classic McIntosh MC275. We recap the power supply with German F&T high grade capacitors - Replace diode bridge with new high current silicone diodes - Replace selenium rectifier in bias supply circuit with high current silicone diode and new high temp, low ESR capacitor - Shown here is the completed Restoration. We recap the power supply with German F&T high grade capacitors - We also replace worn-out speaker terminals - Replace diode bridge with new, high current, soft-start diodes. We also replace the selenium rectifier with high-current, Shockley diode - We check all existing parts for the correct McIntosh specifications, and replace any parts that aren't within specs. - We clean the chassis prior to capacitor installation, check all wiring, resolder all tube sockets, replace thermistor with a new, high-current version - Finished Upgraded Restoration - We replace all electrolytic capacitors - with hand selected versions, replace parts that only need replacement, to maintain the original performance, all of the parts are fully tested to McIntosh factory spec, inspect all wire connections, replace if needed. We cleaned and re-tension all tube socket pins, clean all controls and switches, polish all RCA jacks and replace speaker terminal blocks with new versions, exact McIntosh spec part.
